[Resolution Unit 8] Editing Preparation
With this new direction, I want to begin with a dramatic tone. Nobody else in my class knows I have made this change in direction, so I want to surprise them right off the bat. I have the idea of beginning with war footage, both present day and past.
This would feed into the effects of the event that the documentary is detailing, the aftermath of which caused war across the planet for several years. I would like to have a short section at the start of the video which details what happened as a result of the event, and what lead to this documentary being made, in the universe that it's set in.
I am also planning on using ambient songs hopefully exclusively from the DOOM (2016) soundtrack produced by Mick Gordon, so it has a consistent tone. This soundtrack has a particularly wide range of music, spanning from some of the heaviest and most aggressive metal you'll probably ever hear to atmospheric music that establishes a truly horrific and hellish environment - which is pretty fitting seeing as you literally go through Hell and back. It is the latter of these two musical styles I am choosing to focus on in my video.
