[Prologue Unit 4] All About Jimmy - Evaluation



The song that I ultimately selected for this intro is Destroyer of all Things by Blue Stahli, and the footage I used was exclusively from Jimmy Vee's various roles in Doctor Who. I found finding footage a struggle, as there are very few high quality uploads of his scenes in Doctor Who, as a result, I had to resort to using low quality clips (360p / 480p), which resulted in some jarring edits in which the quality would dramatically drop or the resolution would change. To try and counteract this, I put focus on his scenes as the Skovox Blitzer, as it aired only a year ago, so the footage is higher quality than most of what I could find.

Jimmy Vee was recently cast as the new actor for R2-D2 in Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi after the passing of Kenny Baker. I am unsure as to under who's request, but they are not able to discuss it during the interview, however I did want to address it, as it is very big news, and I thing should be touched upon. As a result of this. I included a scene from Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, in which BB8 pulls a sheet off the dormant R2-D2, which I then censored, having some fun with the silence around the subject.

I think the video turned our well. the music works well with the imagery, and works as an almost quick-fire portfolio. Its likely some won't know who he is, as he hasn't had a large role without wearing heavy make-up / prosthetics - so this should help people get up to speed in a quick and entertaining way before he's interviewed.
